This may come as a surprise to some but. even though I talk about The Quarry most, Until Dawn is my favorite Supermassive game. The main reason I don't talk about it as much is because I'm less attached to the characters overall, + Emma in particular has been consuming my brain for about half a year now so. yeah

“To not just glide but soar!”
—————————————————
‘My village retold the history of my world very religiously. And yet I was able to experience it from the Builders end. Me, a cleric’s mentee, of all people truly seeing the Beings’ work.
I don’t want to believe it. No, I can’t believe it.
The Beings were gods of infinite creativity that shaped our world. Unlike most gods, they were not infallible in the slightest. For better or worse they built upon each error made.
Even the Creeping Bombers—odd mistakes that they were—still deserved to exist.
Many years passed before the Beings were satisfied to let the world develop mostly on its own. Food never perished, monsters were kept at bay with light, caves never collapsed, tools including weapons could be made easily, and everything was suspended in static gravity.
Then they sent down the Builders, who came in two phases. Phase One was improving upon the simple designs. Why Guardians were creat
First Gen Builders left behind mineshafts, monster spawners, iron golems, witch arts, end cities, temples in the deserts and jungles. Portals to the eternally burning nether-scape always made me question why it was so easy to visit there. The Nether wasn’t our Hell.
Their second generation had a weaker link to the Beings. Perhaps that’s why they built less uniform creations—created complex red stone powered contraptions. Not. Not all of them were good-natured trapping my simple villager ancestors in farms/closets. We’re Enpecees.
Again, why’d I steal from one of their bases?
I. Wanted. To. Fly—‘
————————————————————
Huffing, the dimension traveler closed the old battered journal. A leather-bound book with only fifty pages that endured her first test flight.
Granted nearly falling into the void shook her past self up something fierce. It was ironic how cautious she used to be when now she was—Joycelyn Brewer, experienced dimension flyer.
The elytra wings might’ve had limited potential in how the Builders saw them in that game. Two pieces of fabric that granted the very limited ability to glide. But Joycelyn, she preferred Joy, modified hers past it’s original form. She was lucky Father Darren knew beyond the normal brewing knowledge of a Cleric. He had seen the second Builders enchanting things first hand!
Minecraft “Players” were so lucky villagers never revolted against them. Where’d they think all those trade offers came from after all?
Joy spent many weeks repairing the old Elytra she found displayed on an armor stand. It had nearly broken apart when she took the pair off, otherworldly scales flaking and dull. Not telling anyone that she ventured into an old Builder base was the most dangerous rule she broke.
Time and time again everyone warned her not to. “Builders were always a reckless sort. Some made games of trapping each other. From their closest allies to mortal enemies everyone was a free target. Lava pit-falls, skulk-sensors,” old guard Johnathan constantly reminded the kids.
Now though? Joy rolled her shoulders feeling the Elytra wings—her wings—blend seamlessly to her back through its enchantment. No longer was it simply two pieces of fabric but a frame covered in phantom membrane and feathers.
One amazing part about her travels was that she had met winged-races. Those who were born with them rather than creating them.
It was always fun seeing their reactions to her “hiding” her wings in someplace impossible.
Joy’s inventory helped hide the prized Elytra though she had far outgrown limited space in it. People who knew about Minecraft (the name of the game based on her world) were always so curious about how the inventory worked. Who knew they had access to a pocket dimension in-game? She kept a small laboratory for potion ingredients in her pockets. Still an apprentice cleric or not, she knew just how to brew several.
(She did miss the static gravity of her home.)
Pranks counted as tests of character, right?
———————————————————————————————————
[I made a character based on the Minecraft Comes Alive Mod, the main reason why her name spelling is so odd. Joy travels a lot via flying her Elytra wings. So much so that she has been mistaken for various winged species; an angel, Thanagarian, a goddess, harpy, etc… She enjoys flying.]
I plan to have her indulge in some shenanigans.

is kinda wild that i was obsessed with honkai impact few months ago and now i preffer Punishing Gray Raven. Their gameplay is kinda similar (there is a lot of differences, but just looking they do look kinda similar), the story have a similar premise (world ending by a mysterious force, high technology), and that's it, everything else is kinda different, a lot.
the best difference between them is their meta. Honkai Impact meta is a... mess, like, really a mess. Every patch is a new top meta character, every patch is a character you must have to be able to play the abyss and etc. because the new character have a unique mechanic and this unique mechanic is the only thing capable to interact with the new boss, without the character, even if you manage to beat the boss (sometimes is impossible) your rank will go down and you will receive less rewards, and this is not because you are worst then the guys on the top, but because they have the new characters and their weapons that are made to deal with the new boss, and know the combo to totally annihilate the new boss, you just are good in the game, so you don't deserve the high rank.
PGR in the other hand, even the broken characters became kinda useless if you don't know how to use them (is hard to use the broken character if they are dead, and they will die if you not become good enough with dodge and parry) and if the meta matter so much for you, the strongest dark character right now is being given for free and the last dark character released is not better than her and the next top meta dark character will only lunch in the next year, you don't even need her 6 star weapon (some character does need their best weapon, but it doesn't mean they are useless). Also your rewards are not attached to your points, but for how much you played the mode in a week, so you can still farm the gacha currency without being affected by your rank. I also like setting of PGR more, honkai impact setting is good, but like, PGR is perfection.
The things i like more in Honkai than in PGR is 1: the representation, most of the honkai impact cast is made of lesbians (and a bi woman), 2: the protagonist. Your character in honkai impact, the capitan, is not canon, he does not exist, Kiana is our protagonist, the male capitan that build an harem? he's for events only, for the main canon story he doesn't exist at all. In PGR you not only exist but is the protagonist, you kinda have tons of people (both men and woman, and that is cool) interested in you romantically (kinda, tons of them), but the protagonist are pretty much a self insert, probably a guy, that had one scene where Lucia kiss the camera, because you also don't have a face, so the scene is cool but the camera kissing is really weird (i imagine the commandant as a woman to create some of immersion for me, but it is probably a guy, if Punishing Gray Raven ever recieve an adaptation, the protagonist will be a male character, they always are). There is also a couple of lesbians in PGR, but just a couple, like, these two girls that are obviously a couple even if the game don't say it (at least, i don't remember that was said), one of them where exploded by a orbital bombardment? yes, but they exist and the dead girl recieved a F2P rank S unit that is really powerful after she died, and more story about her.
I am on the chapter 15 of PGR, maybe i will be surprised in the future, there is a lot to read.

There's an EU initiative going on right now that essentially boils down to wanting to force videogame publishers with paid games and/or games with paid elements such as DLC, expansions and microtransactions to leave said games in a playable state after they end support, or in simpler terms, make them stop killing games.
A "playable state" would be something like an offline mode for previously always online titles, or the ability for people to host their own servers where reasonably possible just to name some examples.
I don't think I need to tell anyone that having something you paid for being taken from you is bad, which is a thing that routinely happens with live service and other always online games with a notable recent example being The Crew which is now permanently unplayable.
Any EU citizen is eligible to sign the initiative, but only once and if you mess up that's it. You can find it here. (https://eci.ec.europa.eu/045/public/#/screen/home)
Even if you're not European or you signed it already, you can share this initiative with anyone who is, even if they don't care about videogames specifically because this needs a million signatures and there is different thresholds that need to be met for each EU country for their votes to even count and could also be a precedent for other similar practices like when Sony removed a bunch of Discovery TV content people paid for. EDIT: There are also some things people outside the EU can do, as well as additional things some people in specific EU countries like Germany and France can do that aim to solve this same issue as well. You can find that here. (https://www.stopkillinggames.com/)
(Note: There was a petition for UK people but the recent politics stuff there means it's on hold and has to be resubmitted and that may take some time.)
Additionally if you want to keep up with this you can check out Ross Scott (Accursed Farms on youtube or his website) who has been posting monthly about this and deserves a lot of credit for all this work.
(I hope that's all the stuff I missed)
EDIT 2: I changed the link to go directly to the form instead, this SHOULD work!
